Summer Camps and Workshops at Foundry Art Centre
The Foundry Art Centre in Historic St. Charles will host art camps through Friday, August 1. Camps lasts one week, Monday-Friday. Camps for K-3rd grade are from 9am-noon and are $65 for Foundry members and $75 for non-members. Camps for 3rd-8th grade are from 9am to 3:30pm and are $115 for Foundry members and $125 for non-members. Sculpture Camp: June 23-27. Summer Arts Camps at COCA

Advanced workshops for older children offered at Foundry Art Centre
Workshops for children in grades six through eight who want to learn advanced art techniques are being offered in July at the Foundry Art Centre in Historic St. Charles. The two-day workshops run from 9am to 3:30pm July 2-3 and July 16-17. Class sizes are small to accommodate the more advanced lessons and older students.
“Earth, Wind and Fire” is offered July 2-3 and will use elements of the earth, movement and heat to create mosaics and wind sculptures.
“Baubles, Beads and Bangles” comes on July 16-17 and will send participants home with one-of-a-kind jewelry items and accessories. Clay, beads, wire and other materials will be used to fashion cabochon bracelets, photo pendants and other beaded jewelry.

Kwame Foundation Announces Annual Golf Tournament
Kwame Building Group will host its 5th annual Kwame Foundation Golf Tournament on Thursday, August 28, Norman K. Probstein golf course at Forest Park. All proceeds support the Kwame Foundation’s scholarships. Registration and lunch at 11:30am, tee off at 1pm. Cocktail reception, awards ceremony and auction at 5:30pm. The Kwame Foundation endows scholarships at colleges and universities that improve educational opportunities for minorities, providing approximately $150,000 a year in scholarships and grants.
